Benoit graduated from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2007 with a Bachelor in Physical therapy. Before that he spent one year in the Royal Norwegian Navy, studied 2 years of sports science at Agder University College and 1 year of sports psychology at the Norwegian University of Sports and Physical Education. In 2012 he earned a degree in Pedagogics and Didactics from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen and expects to finnish his Master in Manual therapy from the SOMT in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. He has a level 3 coaching diploma from the Dutch Basketball Federation and a P-SCE from the Tudor Bompa Institute.
Benoit did his internship in amongst others Australia and after graduating as a physical therapist he has been working in several private clinics in the Netherlands. In 2008 he started his own company (www.incitus.nl), working as a freelance physical therapist and organizing courses for professionsals in the paramedic sector. Since 2009 he has been working as a teacher at the Physical Therapy school at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. In 2011 he started working with Topfysio, treating amongst others the football players from SC Cambuur (Dutch 1st league) and professional skaters from Team 1nP. In 2012 he started working with the dancers from the professional modern dance company Noord Nederlandse Dans.
In his youth he he was an active basketball player. At the junior level they were in the top 3 of the Norwegian National championships. He played 4 years in the mens senior top division (BLNO) and one year in the 1st division, earning him a regular season and playoff title. The last couple of years he has mainly been active in climbing, cross-country skiing, outdoor sports, diving, yoga, and strength training.
